Hemp

Another Tuesday, goodness me!! With this stupid weather not staying consistent or bringing me my sunshine I get super lazy. So I went to bed super early. I was squeezing out the last bit of my exfoliator on my hands & thought it'd be the best Tues Tip today. The Body Shop Hemp Hand Scrub. I've been using it for years. I can feel the grit doing its job but not hurting in any way. When the cream is rubbed into the skin I wash it off with cool water & ohhhh mannnn my hands are so soft, smooth, & the wrinkles are gone! Yes, my old hands have wrinkles! Haha. Sometimes this product is not available but I peek into The Body Shop now & then in our one mall hoping this treasure is back. This is a must try absolutely, if you find it!! I see on their site they have a Hemp Hand Protector but not the scrub :-(

Tomorrow night all my kids & their families will be here for Easter supper. I have 4 beautiful daughters, 1handsome son & 2 couldn't be better step sons. I also have 5 perfect silly little grandchildren! We are a family who care about each other & who love to get together to do whatever. I'm very blessed. My 2 stepsons are smart & kind. My son is so loving, happy, & treats me like an angel. My 4 daughters are all so beautiful, funny, sweet, & thriving young ladies. I feel I was a hands on loving mother to all of them. I truly can't be more proud. Honestly I really can't be. Watching them grow gives me so much joy. They do not by any means have a so called perfect life. They argue, they fight & they all have their struggles & challenges but I try to be their example. We are strong & we are survivors who try to remember to count our blessing through the good times & the challenging times. I've been thinking of my daughters & when I found this it made me think of them:

I seriously thought it was Wednesday but it's Tuesday! So I have to give ya my Tues Tip...
Have you heard of coconut oil pulling?
Here's some information: What IS oil pulling?  In the morning, before breakfast on an empty stomach, take one tablespoon of Coconut Oil in the mouth but do not swallow it.  Move the coconut oil slowly in the mouth as rinsing or swishing and sip, suck and pull through the teeth for fifteen to twenty minutes. This process makes oil thoroughly mixed with saliva - swishing activates the enzymes and the enzymes draw toxins out of the blood.

Important!  The oil must not be swallowed, for it has become toxic. How do you know when to stop oil pulling?  The oil will get more thin and white when it's ready to be spit into the sink.  If the coconut oil is still yellow, it has not been pulled long enough. After the oil is spit from the mouth , the oral cavity must be thoroughly rinsed and mouth must be washed thoroughly. Just use normal tap water and good old fingers to clean!

Clean the sink properly because the spittle contains harmful bacteria and toxic bodily waste.  If you were to see one drop of this liquid magnified 600 times under a microscope, you'd see harmful microbes in their first stage of development.

It is important to understand that during the oil pulling process one's metabolism is intensified, and this leads to improved health.  One of the most amazing results?  The fastening of loose teeth, the elimination of bleeding gums and the visible whitening of the teeth.

Again, oil pulling with coconut oil is done best before breakfast. To accelerate the healing process it can be repeated three times a day - but always before meals on an empty stomach!

I just bought this container from Costco tonight & thinking of trying it. I'm so interested to hear what you think of this.

A good book

It's Tues and I have a great Tuesday Tip for you!
Years ago (like 25) I ordered this book called The Complete Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn, Promoting thrift as a viable alternative lifestyle.  It's very thick with over 900 pages of frugalness! I am a busy woman so after 25 years I have never read it all. But back then I did skim & found some of it useful.  It's time to bring out & do more skimming. I know there are many people out there that would enjoy the information that this jewel provides, maybe an updated version (that could be a question). Just googled it & you can buy it on Amazon. Let me know if you buy one & find it useful.

I really like to listen to makeup tortorials on YouTube. There are so many gurus out there! I do have my favs but there's always someone new out there. I still have not been able to find one who is in their later 30's to late 40's that is the same skin & hair tone as me. Finding someone with these similarities would be helpful to me for buying certain makeup than with someone with a darker skin tone & hair color. SO, if anyone has seen someone on YouTube with such could you please let me know!!
I loVe*loVe*loVe makeup! I love looking at it in the stores & online, I love buying it, and I love playing with it!! So on Tuesday's (in my corner of the world) I am going to blog Tuesday Tips. Today's Tip is something makeup (go figure).  I finally went and bought the L'Oreal Butterfly Lash Out mascara in black (I have fair eyelashes so I like a dark colors). This is what the package looks like.

Bought this at Walmart for just under $10. I will purchase this again for sure! It made my lashes look longer & lashes don't clump if I apply 2 or more coats.
